The Red Queen: Itachi

I have named my clay piece in the four-in-a-set groupwork, The Red Queen

The Red Queen is a significant figure in both the groupwork- Battle in Life and also equally significant in Alice in Wonderland.

It is a figure of power, often distinguished by a crown, a heart and two main colours- Red and Black. The red queen represents human's desire for power and their everlasting greed.

This clay sculpture has a basic shape of a sphere on a cone and then a crown with the symbolic heart on it. The figure has a miniature dress consisting of the basic colours red and black. with diamonds sewed onto it. The figure is fixed on a heart-shaped plinth which represents the Red Queen even more obciously.

This clay figure shows the desire for power as this figure is actually the queen chess piece on the chessboard and she is in a way, even more powerful than the king in defense and offense. Although, the queen always long for power as she is not yet the ultimate power as compared to the king. Red and black represents both desire, passion and darkness, which befits the character that I have built
