This is a costume for the character mad hatter and he is like an adventurous person and thus, a cape and also living in the forest, brown represents the nature. And also being a very mysterious character in character, the silver shows the mysteriousness and also he is a very weird in a way that he is the mad hatter and the silver adds to it. The pattern also shows how complicated he is and how no one actually understands him totally and that even he might not be able to do so.
The desire to use the costume to put the character into its character, by using color and pattern to portray the character better. Although this piece is simple but it shows much to the viewer, through colours and patterns.
