The mouse wears a red coat with a silver brooch and a needle attach to its back. The red coat represents the simple desire of the mouse to just sleep and sleep and continue sleeping, as well as the passion and desire to be useful and fight for its friends. The needle represents the mouse's sword--taking into account of the mouse's small size--and the small but necessary part it plays in the battle of life, as sleeping is its own way of conserving energy, escaping the battle if only for a moment into its own dreams--the way an actual dormouse would during the tough times of winter.
The needle sword, though small like its user, is nevertheless sharp, and both small sword and small mouse should not be underestimated, regardless of its size or sleeping habits. As just as i likes to sleep, it is also protective over its "prized possessions"--which in this case, are its friends, and a thorn is actually quite powerful when it comes to giving pain.
